Dear sponsors, partners and friends of the Russian Charity Ball!
Wishing you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We would like to thank you for your trust and support and we are hoping that in the New Year our cooperation will continue. We wish you to have happy holidays, bright and positive emotions, strength, health, and prosperity!
In light of the latest restrictions announced by the Luxembourg government, we very much regret to inform you that the date of the event had to be postponed.
Despite the current situation, supporting children who came to depend on our help, remains our top priority. We are currently working to confirm the new date provisionally previewed for the beginning of March 2022 and will inform you as soon as possible.
We would also like to reassure you that in our preparations for the ball we have strived to be very careful and have managed to keep the expenses to a bare minimum. In fact, the only fees we had to pay out were for the graphic design of the printed materials. These have not yet been printed and therefore the funds were not wasted, we will only need to change the date prior to sending the brochure and invitations to print. We enclose the unfinished copies to this letter for your information.
We remain optimistic that the new date for the ball will be in the early 2022. Spring is the symbol of flowers and beauty, when everything is coming back to life! Our aim is to hold the ball during the “Maslenitsa”, usually celebrated before the Great Lent. In Luxembourg, it is the Buergbrennen holiday, when the 'Buergen ' (torches) are lit across the Grand Duchy to chase away the winter.
We will write to you as soon as we have confirmation of the new date. Please kindly let us know if this is not acceptable for you and we will find amicable arrangements or reimburse you.
